Yunyan, Honghe, Lesser Panda Once Again Rated as Famous Trademarks of Yunnan

Yunyan, Honghe and Lesser Panda - three leading competitive cigarette brands of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - were once again rated as famous trademarks of Yunnan Province at an activity operated by Yunnan Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce in the provincial capital city of Kunming on April 19 to honor the "famous trademarks of Yunnan Province" and "famous trademarks of Kunming City" in 2009.

It was a new honor won by the three well-known cigarette brands of HongyunHonghe since the rating began in 2006.
Incorporated in 2008, the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group is the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer. Since its incorporation, HongyunHonghe has attached great importance to the strategy of developing big competitive cigarette brands, and has made delightful achievements in this endeavor.
In 2009, HongyunHonghe sold 212 billion cigarettes (4.24 million cases) and earned 35.41 billion yuan (5 billion U.S. dollars) in taxes and profits, a year-on-year increase of 7 percent. In the first quarter of 2010, HongyunHonghe produced 59.835 billion cigarettes (1.1967 million cases), up 2.63 percent year-on-year, and earned 11.918 billion yuan (1.7 billion U.S. dollars) in taxes and profits, up 12.01 percent year-on-year, signifying a good beginning on the basis of a high starting point in the year 2010.
The famous trademarks of Yunnan Province are valid for a period of three years, in which the administrative authorities for industry and commerce at all levels in the province will grant special protection to them in accordance with law. Enditem
