Fifteen Tobacco Brands Ranked Among Top 500 Most Valuable Brands of China

Fifteen tobacco brands were ranked among the Top 500 Most Valuable Brands of China of 2008 rated by the World Brands Lab - Yunyan, Mount Hongtashan, Furongwang, Chunghwa, Baisha, the Great Red Eagle, the General, the Red Camellia, Jiatianxia, Pride, the Red Golden Dragon, Liqun, the Double Happiness, Huangguoshu and Hademen.
In particular, Yuyan, with a brand value of 34.518 billion yuan (4.93 billion U.S. dollars), Mount Hongtashan, 32.637 billion yuan (4.66 billion U.S. dollars) and Furongwang, 23.856 billion yuan (3.4 billion U.S. dollars), won the first three places on the list of the most valuable tobacco brands among the Top 500.

At the fifth World Brand Summit on June 2, 2008, the World Brand Lab announced the "Top 500 Most Valuable Brands of China of 2008," with a total brand value of 3,492.407 billion yuan (498.915 billion U.S. dollars), with an average of 6.985 billion yuan (997.85 million U.S. dollars) for each brand.
The lowest value of brands with standings on the list of the Top 500 for 2008 was 672 million yuan (96 million U.S. dollars), up from the level of 568 million yuan (81 million U.S. dollars) for 2007.
According to results of observation by the World Brands Lab over the past five years, the development of brands has become a priority in the management of successful enterprises in China. So far, their investment in the development of brands has yielded high returns.
