Hongta Export Brand Sets Record

The Hongta Group, China's biggest tobacco manufacturer, reported today that it had produced a record 2.35 billion of its 'export-oriented' Marble cigarettes last year. Marble is said to be set to become the biggest export-oriented cigarette brand produced in China. Meanwhile, the group announced that in producing record volumes of its Yuxi and Hongmei cigarettes, it had more than fulfilled its 2006 quotas for these brands, though no figures were given. Enditem
